Berthe Sigan Codja is a professional trainer in Corporate Creation and Management, and Entrepreneurship. She has many years of experience of Facilitation in Capacities Building, Human resource Management and Girls Education Oversight. She holds a BA in Human Resources Management from Polytech Le Citoyen in Cotonou, Benin.

De Barros Miguel is a Sociologist. He is a research associate at INEP (Guinea-Bissau) and CEA/ISCTE-IUL (Portugal). He is also a member of CODESRIA and co-coordinator of the project of comparative study on Media, Human Rights and the (Un) doing of Public Opinion in African Countries of Portuguese Official Language (PALOP). An Assistant in Sociology of Communication at the University Colinas de Boé (Guinea-Bissau).  He has developed research in the fields of youth, work and income, transformation, mobility and urban coexistence, democracy, governance and civil society.

Manan Lucien DJA is an expert in Program and Project Coordination, Environmental Projects, Impact Evaluation and Environment sustainable management.  He is an author. He is also a researcher and consultant. He holds a PGD Applied Economics, University of Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire.

Faustin Djagba has more than 17 years professional experience in support for CSO’s and SME’s in West Africa. He is an expert in gender development, pedagogy, research, program development and management, monitoring and evaluation and human resources. He has 3 master’s degree in Science research management, human resource management and Business law and judicial careers respectively.

Angela Dwamena-Aboagye is a lawyer, motivational speaker, a counsellor and a women's empowerment and rights advocate with over 20  years’ experience. She is the Executive Director of The Ark Foundation, Ghana and an adjunct lecturer in Gender and the Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Ghana. She has co-founded a number of women's issues coalitions. Angela holds a Bachelors and two Masters degrees from University of Ghana, Georgetown University Law center and Akrofi-Christaller Institute for Theology.

Dr. Emmanuel Esso is a statistician demographer expert on reproductive and community health with rich experience in managing HIV/AIDS programs. He is an expert in child mortality, population living conditions, data collection, planning, research, capacity building and evaluation of civil societies. He holds a PhD in Demography from University of Paris, France.

Emmanuel currently works for the African Union Commission as Senior Programme Manager (Global Partnerships and Programme Implementation) where he also manages the African Union Youth Volunteers Corps (AUYVC). As an International Public Policy Analyst and Medical Sociologist with fellowships in Communications from JHU Baltimore, Harvard School of Development Studies, International Institute of Education (IIE), he has been working to position youth development and empowerment agenda onto continental and international developmental policy and resource mobilization discourse and decision making. He participates in and addresses high-level gatherings at the United Nations, the African Union, International Development Organizations on issues of Human Capital Development with a Youth lens.

Khady Fall Tall has been the chairwoman of WAWA regional office since 2005. She is an expert in gender rights, equality and mainstreaming, economics, communications and capacity building for women. She holds a post graduate diploma in International Relations from Paris-CEDS.

Mrs. Fiscian is an expert in Population studies, Education, Gender and Development, Girls’ Education, Child Rights Abuse, Mediation and Conflict Transformation, Social Protection, Adolescent Reproductive Health, HIV/AIDS and Participatory Learning Methodologies. She has 12 years’ experience in Social Research, Project Design, Planning and Review, Implementation Monitoring of Socio-demographic and Community Development Programmes, Training, Facilitation, Project Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation. Proven skills in Education Planning, Data Management, Qualitative Data Analysis, Report Writing, Project Management and Coordination, Gender Mainstreaming and Decentralization issues.

Audrey Gadzekpo is a Ghanaian with nearly 20 years of university teaching and research at a major university in Ghana. She has over 25 years’ experience as a journalist, magazine publisher/editor and talk show host. An experienced gender and governance activist, her areas of expertise include election monitoring, anti-corruption campaigns and initiatives and empowerment of women campaigns and initiatives. She is also a consultant in media and social development. She holds a PhD in African studies, University of Birmingham, UK.

‘Gbenga Sesan is the Executive Director of Paradigm Initiative Nigeria (PIN), a social enterprise that connects underserved people-groups with ICT-enabled opportunities. Originally trained as an Electronic & Electrical Engineer at Obafemi Awolowo University, ‘Gbenga completed management training at Lagos Business School, New York Group for Technology Transfer, Oxford University, Harvard University, Stanford University, Santa Clara University and University of the Pacific. Gbenga has been honoured with different awards and fellowships. He is also an author.

Prof. Alex Gboyega holds a BA Political science from University of Ghana, Legon and a PhD from University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He is an accomplished author of many books and publications in local and international journals. He is an expert in policy analysis, decentralization and local government administration, democracy, political governance and capacity development.

Samuel Gyakye-Smith is an economist with over 12 years’ experience in economic policy advice with emphasis on fiscal policy, public sector fraud detection and government revenue. He holds an MBA from University of Ghana, an MA Economics from Ghandigram University, India and BA Economics from University of Ghana.

 

Aisha Fofana Ibrahim is feminist scholar, researcher and activist and currently the Acting Director of the Institute for Gender Research and Documentation (INGRADOC) at Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone. She has over 15 years of experience teaching and researching gender, literature and peace-building and has published in those areas. Her current research focus is in the areas of women’s political participation and quotas, and violence against women. She is also a consultant and provides services in research, program monitoring and assessment as well as training.

Dr Olawale Ismail is a researcher, project manager with years of experience in conflict and security analysis, security sector reform and governance, humanitarian intervention, youth issues, African security, conflict prevention and early warning systems, peace building and peace support operations and counter terrorism. He is a fellow of various institutions. He holds a first class honours in B.Sc International Relations from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria, an M.Phil, International Relations from University of Cambridge, UK and PhD, Peace studies from University of Bradford, UK.

Dr Olusola Isola holds a Ph.D. Peace and Conflict Studies (Media and Conflict), University of Ibadan. He has over 12 year’s practical experience in media and NGO sector. He currently teaches courses in communication, peacebuilding, development and security studies at the University of Ibadan and Ilorin in Nigeria. He has published widely in his area of expertise and conducted community based trainings for practitioners.

Jorbateh Madi has 15 years of experience in media and development work. From working as a media and news specialist within the public sector, he moved into the development sector working with GFPA and UNDP. He is presently the program Manager and Deputy Executive Director of The Association of NGOs in the Gambia or TANGO. His professional career focuses immensely on social, policy and development work at various levels in both the public and CSO arenas. He is very involved in human rights protection and promotion.

Steven Kaindaneh is from Sierra Leone and holds a PhD degree in peace studies from the Centre for Peace and Reconciliation Studies, Coventry University in UK. Steven has worked with international humanitarian aid agencies in Sierra Leone, Guinea and Sudan (Darfur and Juba). He therefore has extensive experience socioeconomic development, humanitarian work, strategic and operational planning and peacebuilding. Steven presently works for Concordis International (a UK based organization) and is involved in research and supporting local initiatives aimed at promoting coexistence among communities on the Sudan and South Sudan border.

Kesia Onam has over 5 years’ experience in training, facilitation, manual development, human resource management and logistics and a regional experience within the West African region. She also has experience in conflict and peacebuilding, stress management. She has facilitated and supported women peace coalitions and conferences. She is a graduate of Central University College, Ghana.

Kiven James Kewir has extensive experience in Human Rights and Conflict Prevention Work in the NGO sector. He has also worked extensively in training and research with several universities within the last four years.

Agnes F Kortimai, is the Executive Director of ZODWOCA in Liberia. She is a professional in defending and advocating for the rights of women, small business and skills training for women where she has organized 200 vulnerable rural women in Liberia to engage in agriculture, health education and peace program. She holds a BBA degree in Accounting and Management from University of Liberia and has attended various training and courses.

Bernadette Lahai is a current sitting MP in Sierra Leone. She is a researcher. She has a BA Degree, MSc Degree in Agriculture and PHD in Agricultural Extension and rural Development from the University of Reading-UK with specialisation in gender issues. She supervises undergraduate and post graduate students in the faculty of agriculture in Njala University as well as serve as external examiner for Masters Student in Gender Studies.

Comfort Henrietta Lamptey holds a BA, Politics and MA, International relations from the University of Sussex, Brighton. She is a professional in extensive global policy development and programme management in humanitarian, peacekeeping and development. She is a sound political analyst, an effective communicator, innovator with professional experience with inter-governmental and non-governmental sectors on operational and policy levels.

Carmen Glenda holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from State University of New York. She is an expert in project planning, design and implementation, monitoring and evaluation and training of inmates and correctional officials. Her focus is to contribute towards social justice for marginalized communities.

Nemata Majeks-Walker has over 20 years’ experience in electoral process, gender equality and democratic governance. She has solid background in effective negotiation and policy formulation at international level with strong advocacy and resource mobilization. She is the founder of the 50/50 group of Sierra Leone. She holds a PhD from the University of Surrey, UK.

Zeedah Meierhofer-Mangeli is trained in the fields of sociology, pedagogy, and conflict resolution; she has been an educator and a specialist on women’s human rights and race relations. Zeedah is committed to the education of young girls in Africa. She founded the Resource Center for Women and Girls Trust in Kenya. She has also been involved in concept development and training for the Swiss Police on domestic violence.

Alhassan Muhammed is a Human Resource Practitioner and Development Worker, with long standing practice in both Public sector and Civil Society Organisation (CSO). He has been engaged in Non-Governmental Organisations (NGO) work and possess varied experiences in the development sector spanning several years specifically in capacity building and training, policy advocacy, programme design and implementation, community mobilization, management, youth development, economic empowerment, project monitoring and evaluation, gender development, report writing and other developmental issues. He is a certified trainer to deliver specialized course in ‘Developing Effective Strategies and Communication Tools for Policy Advocacy’.

Mohammed Bougei Attah is the founder and Executive Director of NGO Guide 2000, an NGO-Service Consortium and organizers of Annual All Nigeria NGO Summit & Exposition. Attah serves as the Managing Editor of NGO Network, a general interest magazine for non-profit sector in Nigeria and sub-Saharan Africa. The magazine currently serves as the leading voice for the third sector, reporting events across Africa and beyond. He is the Africa Regional Coordinator, World Association of Non-Governmental Organizations, WANGO.

Revd. Dr. Aidan Gregory Msafiri is an ordained catholic priest with experience as a lecturer in philosophy and ethics and theology. He possesses a PhD from Vienna University, Austria. He works as one of the “young” African Theologians for the World Council of churches. Currently, he is the head of the philosophy and ethics department at SUAT, Tanzania. Dr. Msafiri has written several articles for journals and various papers for international conferences.
