WACSI will be organising a highly specialised training for practitioners from civil society organisations to make them apt in the effective recruitment, management, and providing direction for the people who work in the organization.

The West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) seeks to empower CSOs with contemporary skills to efficiently engage their personnel to achieve desired results. The Institute is organising a 3-day course in Human Resource Management to provide managers with the needed skills to guarantee staff satisfaction; keep them focused and stimulate their interest to achieve organisation’s objectives.

WACSI, with the collaboration of the International Finance Corporations (IFC), uniquely designed this course to strengthen the skills of decision makers within CSOs to be able to retain top employees,  promote staff motivation and commitment to the values of the organisation.

Contribution Fee: Course contribution fees of $300.00 (Three Hundred U.S. Dollars) only are to be paid by June 4, 2012 to be eligible to participate in the training. Early fee payments are encouraged and attract the following discounts:

Early Payments: 10% discount available for applicants who pay contribution fee on or before May 28, 2012.
•Two (2) or more applicants from one organisation will benefit from 10%discount per participant if contribution fee is paid on or before May 30, 2012;   and
•First ten applicants to pay their contribution fees will benefit from a $50.00 (Fifty USD) discount.

NB: Course contribution fees does not cover for transportation and accommodation costs of participants.

Resource Centre

The Institute has a resource centre that is open to civil society actors in the region. It serves as a library of civil society documents, research reports and edited volumes that are accessible to both individuals and organisations. The Institute has partnered the Foundation Centre to provide online learning resources and a database of grant giving institutions in the United States of America.
