Empowering CPPC Nigeria to Raise More Funds
WACSI engaged in strengthening the proposal writing and resource mobilization skills of staff of civil society organisations across Africa.
This was achieved through a training on Resource Mobilisation and Proposal Writing which took place from May 6 to 8 in Accra.
Taking Notes during the training
Talking to the Communications Team of WACSI, Mrs. Kenny Williams, Programme Officer of the Centre for Public Private Cooperation (CPPC), Nigeria explained that, “this training provided a platform for learning, experience sharing and the practical application of lessons learned”.
She pointed out that she took part in this training to enhance her capacity to write winning proposals and raise funds for CPPC, Nigeria. Commenting on what she learned from the training, she happily expatiated that she now knows that “proposals must be written in accordance with donor’s specifications, international and national standards”. She went on to explain that this can be achieved through the identification and inclusion of essential elements required for the development of a winning proposal, as a pre-condition for attracting funding support from
Applying the knowledge and skills gained from this training stands as her primary objective. “The knowledge gained and skills acquired [from this training] would be channeled towards the development of winning proposals capable of attracting funds for the organisation”, she noted.
