Job Vacancies: Legal and Allied Ghana Vacancies

1. SOLICITOR - GENERAL

Duties and responsibilities
-Drafting and reviewing agreements;
-Supervising and coordinating the work of other agencies.

Qualifications
-Must be a lawyer with not less than twelve years standing at the Ghana Bar;
-A Master of Law will be an advantage.

2. DIRECTOR, PUBLIC PROSECUTIONS

Duties and responsibilities
-Advising the Attorney – General on matters relating to the administration of the Criminal Justice system of Ghana;
-Preparing and conducting proceedings under the Criminal and other Offences Act and other criminal statutes.

Qualifications
-Must be a lawyer with not less than twelve years standing at the Ghana Bar;
-A postgraduate degree in criminal law or criminology will be an advantage;
-A deep knowledge of the Ghana’s criminal justice system is required.

3. DIRECTOR, LEGISLATIVE DRAFTING DIVISION

Duties and responsibilities
-Overseeing the general administration and management;
-Preparing annual work programmes in keeping with the government’s legislative agenda.

Qualifications
-Must be a lawyer with not less than twelve years standing at the Ghana Bar;
-Minimum of five years practical experience in legislative drafting;
-A Master of Laws (LL.M) degree in Legislative Drafting will be an advantage.
