Call for Applications: Introduction to Policy Advocacy and Engagement Course
WACSI has developed a new course, Introduction to Policy Advocacy and Engagement.The first training session for civil society actors in West Africa has been scheduled for 26 - 28 March, 2012 at the WACSI Secretariat in Accra.
This course was developed in response to a request by civil society actors in the sub-region to simplify the advanced module of the course.
The Institute has launched a call for application to select 25 participants to benefit from this maiden course.The specially developed course is meant to introduce emerging civil society actors to the basic concepts of policy advocacy. It will expand their knowledge in theoretical foundations on policy advocacy and deepen their understanding of policy making processes in West Africa. This course will facilitate the exposure of participants to indepth and comprehensive participatory governance systems in West Africa, and empower them with skills to advance for attainable and beneficial outcomes.
The 3 day course costs $300.00. Applications are currently being received until Friday March 16, 2012. Participants will be selected on a first come first serve basis.Participation is limited to the first 25 applicants across West Africa.
