Post Training Course Assessment Report on Financial Management and Budgetary Control for CSO Actors in West Africa
The West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) organized a specialised training course on Financial Management and Budgetary Control training for civil society organisations in West Africa. The course was aimed at enhancing the participants’ understanding and the development of their skills to utilise financial systems for analysis, management, planning, monitoring and control. This knowledge development and experience-sharing course gave participants valuable insight into how financial management tools can be applied to their work.
Post-Training Evaluation Report: Resource Mobilisation and Proposal Writing Training for GIZ CSSP Partners
The West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) was approached by the German Development Cooperation (GIZ) to organise a Resource Mobilisation and Proposal Writing course for its Civil Society Support Programme (CSSP) Partners in the Northern Region, Ghana. The training which targeted 20 GIZ CSSP Partners was held in the CDD Conference Hall, Tamale, Ghana from 31 October – 2 November, 2012.
Training Narrative Report: Ressource Mobilisation and Proposal Writing for KAIPTC Programmes STAFF
WACSI organised a 3-day Resource Mobilisation and Proposal Writing Training course for KAIPTC programmes staff to strengthen their resource mobilisation techniques and proposal writing skills. . This training was facilitated by two of WACSI trainer’s, Abigail Burgesson and Alexander Kala. The training was held at the Airport View Hotel from the 20-22 June, 2012.
The resource mobilisation and Proposal Writing course was designed to:
- Provide an appreciation of the major trends in resource mobilisation and the reasons for giving;
- Critically analyse the strengths and weaknesses of KAIPTC existing resource base;
- Formulate a simple plan on how to diversify the resource base;
- Identify main funding sources and appropriate methods to secure them; and
- Learn how to write a winning proposal.
Synthesis Report : Capacity building Programme for OSIWA CSOs Partners from four Francophone countries in West Africa
The capacity building training for OSIWA partners was held from 27 August to 8 September, 2012 at the Hotel Mariador Palace in Conakry, Guinea. This training is part of a 2-year capacity building programme which aims at providing OSIWA with a pool of results-based, robust, efficient and effective strategic partners in four targeted countries, namely Benin, Cote d’Ivoire, Guinea and Niger.
Post-evaluation Report: Financial Management Training for YMCA Staff
The West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) was approached to organise a training course for Africa Alliance of the Young Men Christian Association (YMCA) on Financial Management. The training strengthened the financial management skills of YMCA 15 Finance Staff across Africa. The course was held on 1-3 October, 2012 at CAFAP, in Bagbe, Togo.
Narrative Report: Financial Management Training for Africa Alliance for YMCA Staff
WACSI was approached by the Africa Alliance of YMCA (AAYMCA) to deliver a course on financial management for its members from 10 African countries. The training course which was targeted at 15 finance staff of the AAYMCA was held on 1-3 October 2012 in Bagbe, Togo.
