Post-Evaluation Report : Personal Productivity Skills Training for CSOs in West Africa
As part of its collaboration with the International Finance Corporation Business Edge Programme, WACSI organised a 3-day training course on “Personal Productivity Skills” for Civil Society Actors in West Africa.
At the end of the course, participants were able to:
- Define the key concepts associated with personal productivity;
- Identify the main obstacles that prevent you from maximizing your productivity;
- Lead Teams;
- Become a More Effective Manager; and
- Coach at work.
Monitoring and Evaluation Narrative Course Report : For IBIS-WAHRD Partners in Ghana
The West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) was approached by IBIS-West Africa to strengthen the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) skills of its West African Human Rights and Democratisation (WAHRD) grant partners. Thus, an M&E training course was organised from 11-13 April at Dodowa, Ghana for representatives of the West African Network for Peace building (WANEP), Foundation of Security and Development in Africa (FOSDA) and the Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA). This report documents the proceedings of the training.
Training Narrative Report : Resource Mobilisation and Proposal Writing Training for GIZ CSSP Partners
WACSI organised a 3-day Resource Mobilisation and Proposal Writing Training course for GIZ CSSP Partners to strengthen their resource mobilisation techniques and proposal writing skills. This training was facilitated by two of WACSI trainers from CICADA Consulting, namely Daniel Kofi Andoh and Gilbert Atta-Boakye. The training was held at the CDD Conference Hall in Tamale, in the northern region of Ghana from 31 October – 2 November, 2012.
Resource Mobilisation and Proposal Writing Training for Civil Society Organisations in West Africa
Three (3) days Resource Mobilisation and Proposal Writing Training for Civil Society Organisations in West Africa was organized by the West Africa Civil Society Institute in Accra, Ghana on July 16 – 18, 2012. The objective of the training programme was to provide an overview on donor resource mobilisation/ fund raising and become better aware of how NGOs and CBOs can develop partnerships and ultimately mobilise resources. The training also highlighted fundamentals and practice of writing winning proposals. This report documents the participants’ assessment of the organisation and delivery of the workshop.

Training Course Rport : Financial Management and Budgetary Control Training for CSOs in West Africa
WACSI in its efforts to strengthen the financial structures and systems of CSOs, organized a three-day training course titled, Financial Management and Budgetary Control for Civil Society Organizations in West Africa. The training course, attracted directors, finance and programmes officers of CSOs across West Africa. It was held from the 15-17 August, 2012.
Post Training Course Assessment Report on Financial Management and Budgetary Control for CSO Actors in West Africa
The West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) organized a specialised training course on Financial Management and Budgetary Control training for civil society organisations in West Africa. The course was aimed at enhancing the participants’ understanding and the development of their skills to utilise financial systems for analysis, management, planning, monitoring and control. This knowledge development and experience-sharing course gave participants valuable insight into how financial management tools can be applied to their work.
