Training Evaluation Report: Results Based Communication Training


WACSI organised a training on Results-Based Communication for Non-Profits from 28-31 July 2015 in Accra, Ghana. The training was aimed at balancing both theoretical and practical skills required for effective communication for participating CSOs. It is designed to equip participants to confidently design and implement communication activities including working with the media, fundraising communication, developing press kits, influencing public policy and formulating strategic communication plans to enable their organisation to reach out to a wider audience and also enhance their visibility.

At the end of the training, participants were handed over questionnaires to provide their impression on both the delivery and the content of the training and also to make recommendations and share advice to trainers and for better organisation of subsequent trainings.

Training Narrative Report: Results Based Communication Training 2015

The training course on “Results-Based Communication for Non-profits” was aimed at balancing both theoretical and practical skills required for effective communication for participating CSOs. It is designed to equip participants to confidently design and implement communication activities including working with the media, fundraising communication, developing press kits, influencing public policy and formulating strategic communication plans to enable their organisation to reach out to a wider audience and also enhance their visibility.

The overall objective of the Results-Based Communication for Non-profits training is to equip participants with the needed tools to design, implement and boost the communication strategies, plans and activities of their respective organisations.

Training Narrative Report: Financial Management and Grants Reporting 2015

The Financial Management and Grants Reporting was held from 18th to 21st May 2015 at WACSI training center, Accra-Ghana. There were 15 CSO members from Ghana, Nigeria and Liberia who applied for and participated in this training.

The main objective of this course was to enhance participant’s capacities and skills on financial management and grants reporting in order to equip them with tools to mobilise resources and strategies to effectively manage their organisation’s finances.

2015 Mid-Term Trainings: Assessment Report

The current midterm assessment exercise seeks to examine the application and benefits of the knowledge and skills learnt from WACSI’s programmes implemented in 2015. This includes incountry and regional training programmes implemented under the coordination of the Programmes Units. These involve in-house training programmes (fee-paying training) as well as demand-driven and funded programmes the Institute carried out during the period under review.

In 2015, twenty (20) capacity strengthening programmes were delivered.

Evaluation Report: Resource Mobilisation and Proposal Writing Course - May 2015

This post-evaluation report provides an overview of the feedback and impressions shared by the participants at the end of the training course on Resource Mobilisation and Proposal Writing. The report is the compilation of the responses provided by 12 participants who attended the training, making up 100% of the total number of participants.

Resource Mobilisation and Proposal Writing Course - May 2015

This course helped practitioners to identify the current gap in mobilising resources for sustainable programme interventions and also helped them to understand the diverse sources and methods of mobilising resources.

There were twelve (12) participants from four West African Countries namely; Ghana, Nigeria, Liberia and Benin who attended the training.
