Project Proposal Formulation and Grants Management Training for CSOs in West Africa - Narrative Report-Accra, Ghana (February, 2011)

The West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) organised a 3 day training workshop from 16-18 February, 2011 at the WACSI Secretariat in Accra, Ghana. The training which focused on EU, USAID, WB, UN Grants requirements attracted 30 participants (11 females and 19 males) from civil society organisations across West Africa including the Project Director of Mano-River Union Training Project Mr. Orando B. Yanquoi from Sierra Leone, the Finance and Administration Manager of the National Democratic Institute, Ms. Abibath Bodea from Nigeria, the Regional Finance and Support Services Manager, West Regional Office of Sight Savers Mr. Bakary Marong from Senegal, the Deputy Executive Secretary of the Human Rights Commission of Sierra Leone, Mr. Raymond Bob Katta amongst others.

Policy Advoccay and Engagement Training for CSOs in Benin - Training Narrative Report (December 2010)

The West Africa Civil Society Institute in partnership with the Open Society Initiative for West Africa (OSIWA) organised its maiden policy advocacy and engagement training for CSOs in Benin from 13 to 16 December, 2010.  

Policy Advocacy and Engagement Training for CSOs in Ghana - Post Training Evaluation Report (November 2010)

The West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) in collaboration with the Local Government and Public Services Reform Initiative, of the Open Society Institute (LGI-OSI) and the Open Society Institute of West Africa (OSIWA) organized a four (4) day training workshop in Accra,Ghana from 22 - 25 November, 2010. The theme for the workshop was Policy Engagement and Advocacy Training for Civil society Actors in Ghana. Present at the workshop were policy advocacy officers and directors from selected civil society organizations in Ghana.

NGO Management Training for CSOs in Ghana - Training Narrative Report (November, 2010)

The West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) organized an NGO management training course for civil society organizations in Accra, Ghana. In attendance were 27 actors from civil society organizations on 27 – 29 November, 2010 in Ghana.

The workshop was targeted at strengthening the managerial skills of middle level staff of NGOs in Ghana. The training was also geared towards introducing participants to key techniques needed in NGO management and to equip them with the relevant skills to plan strategically. This report documents the proceedings of the workshop.

Policy Advocacy and Engagement Training for OSIWA Grantees in Nigeria - Post Training Evaluation Report (September 2010)

From 27 - 30 September, 2010, a four-day workshop on 'Policy Engagement and Advocacy Training' was organised for OSIWA Grantees. At the end of the training, evaluation questionnaires were administered to access the outcome of the workshop. In all, fourteen participants participated in the programme.

 

Project Proposal Formulation and Grants Management Training for CSOs in West Africa - Training Narrative Report (September, 2010)

As part of its strategic mandate, the West Africa Civil Society Institute supported by the Open Society Initiative for West Africa organised a 3-day specialised training workshop on “Project Proposal Formulation and Grants Management ” for civil society actors in Accra, Ghana on 15–17 September, 2010. The overarching goal of this course was to enhance the ability of trainees to write winning proposals to solicit funds from international donors and, to manage and control program and project funds effectively.
