The West Africa Civil Society Institute in partnership with the Open Society Initiative for West Africa (OSIWA) organised its maiden policy advocacy and engagement training for CSOs in Benin from 13 to 16 December, 2010.
The West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) in collaboration with the Local Government and Public Services Reform Initiative, of the Open Society Institute (LGI-OSI) and the Open Society Institute of West Africa (OSIWA) organized a four (4) day training workshop in Accra,Ghana from 22 - 25 November, 2010. The theme for the workshop was Policy Engagement and Advocacy Training for Civil society Actors in Ghana. Present at the workshop were policy advocacy officers and directors from selected civil society organizations in Ghana.
The West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) organized an NGO management training course for civil society organizations in Accra, Ghana. In attendance were 27 actors from civil society organizations on 27 – 29 November, 2010 in Ghana.
The workshop was targeted at strengthening the managerial skills of middle level staff of NGOs in Ghana. The training was also geared towards introducing participants to key techniques needed in NGO management and to equip them with the relevant skills to plan strategically. This report documents the proceedings of the workshop.
From 27 - 30 September, 2010, a four-day workshop on 'Policy Engagement and Advocacy Training' was organised for OSIWA Grantees. At the end of the training, evaluation questionnaires were administered to access the outcome of the workshop. In all, fourteen participants participated in the programme.
