Narrative Report: Developpment Partners' Conference

The West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) convened a development partners meeting on the 22 April 2013, Accra, Ghana to deliberate and promote capacity development and to present to stakeholders the gains that CSOs in the region have made despite their limited resources and challenging contexts.

The Communications and Information Assistant, Jimm Chick Fomunjong, who served as the Master of Ceremonies welcomed participants to the conference and thanked them for honouring WACSI’s invitation. He introduced Madam Aicha Bah Diallo and Mr. Abdul Tejan-Cole who delivered the opening remarks and keynote address respectively.

The Institute has a resource centre that is open to civil society actors in the region. It serves as a library of civil society documents, research reports and edited volumes that are accessible to both individuals and organisations. The Institute has partnered the Foundation Centre to provide online learning resources and a database of grant giving institutions in the United States of America.
