West Africa Civil Society Institute Strengthening Civil Society

West Africa Drug Policy Network Building Meeting

A coalition of CSOs came together as a network called West Africa Drug Policy Network (WADPN) to support drug policy reform in West Africa by building the capacity of local CSOs to address the impact of drug markets on democracy, governance, human security, human right and public health.

After nearly two years of activities, the focal points of the 16 chapters have gathered for two day business meeting to (1) consolidate the effort making so far, (2) chart a new way forward and (3) discuss the strategic plan for the next three years.

In addition, the two day meeting also created an avenue for the partner to share with the focal point an update on what they have doing and the direction they will be taking in coming years.
