'SHOWING IMPACT! WACSI Shares Significant Change Stories'

In 2012, the West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) with the support of the Open Society Initiative for West Africa (OSIWA) initiated a capacity development programme to respond to the critical governance and leadership challenges that continue to undermine the operational effectiveness of Civil Society Organisations’ (CSOs) in the region, especially in francophone West Africa.

The programme was designed to strengthen the efficiency, effectiveness and robustness of 25 CSO partners from four (4) targeted francophone West Africa countries namely; Benin, Cote d’Ivoire, Guinea and Niger.

It was also designed and implemented using a long-term capacity development approach which includes, the conduct of a needs assessment, training, mentoring, onsite coaching, periodic feedback sessions and the documentation of change stories

This publication "Wave of Change; Stories of a Thriving Civil Society", is a culmination of a three-year journey of institutional strengthening and systematic and deliberate follow-up engagement.
