ECOWAS Grant Management Training for Non-State Actors in West Africa - Post Training Evaluation (October, 2011)
Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) in collaboration with the West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) organised a Specialized Workshop on Grants Management for Non State Actors in Accra, Ghana from the 18 – 20 October, 2011. The objective of the training course was to enhance the Grants Management and Project Proposal writing capacities of Non-State Actors within the West African sub-region. The training course was anchored on an earlier launch for a Call for Proposals with the global objective to strengthen the capacity of NSAs to enable them to play an effective and relevant role in the regional integration process.

Policy Research Methodology Training for CSOs in West Africa - Post-Training Evaluation Report (March 2011)
The Policy Research Methodology training organized by WACSI in partnership with SIPRI from the 23 - 25 March 2011, attracted 25 civil society practitioners from across the West African Sub-region. The training workshop focused on Policy Research Methodology, Data Analysis Techniques, Writing and Communicating Research. At the end of a 3-day training programme, participants’ were given the opportunity to assess the overall outcome of the workshop.
Policy Advocacy and Engagement Training for IWP-OSI Grantees in Liberia - Training Evaluation Report (February, 2011)
By observation, it was realized that the Policy Advocacy training organised by the Institute in 2010 records a low number of women participation across the sub-region, thus in order to response to lack of opportunity for women'a participation, WACSI partnered with the International Women’s Programme of the Open Society Institute (IWP-OSI) and OSIWA, organized a four-day Policy advocacy training for women’s groups and organizations in Liberia from February 1 - 4, 2011. The overarching goal of this workshop was to build the advocacy capacity of women groups and organizations in Liberia, and deepen their knowledge and skills in planning and conducting effective policy engagement, influencing and advocacy. A total of 20 women participated in the training.

The West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) in collaboration with the Local Government and Public Services Reform Initiative, of the Open Society Institute (LGI-OSI) and the Open Society Institute of West Africa (OSIWA) organized a four (4) day training workshop in Accra,Ghana from 22 - 25 November, 2010. The theme for the workshop was Policy Engagement and Advocacy Training for Civil society Actors in Ghana. Present at the workshop were policy advocacy officers and directors from selected civil society organizations in Ghana.
Policy Advocacy and Engagement Training for OSIWA Grantees in Nigeria - Post Training Evaluation Report (September 2010)
From 27 - 30 September, 2010, a four-day workshop on 'Policy Engagement and Advocacy Training' was organised for OSIWA Grantees. At the end of the training, evaluation questionnaires were administered to access the outcome of the workshop. In all, fourteen participants participated in the programme.
