Support Our Vision

The West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) is a spin-off of the Open Society Initiative for West Africa (OSIWA). WACSI is actively engaged in training, research, documentation, and policy dialogue for civil society organisations (CSOs) in West Africa. Our vision is to have a strong, effective, efficient, influential and sustainable civil society sector in West Africa.

WACSI strengthens the institutional and operational capacity of civil society in West Africa. The Institute also creates and facilitates strategic opportunities for dialogue amongst Civil Society actors and organisations, and between civil society and other key development stakeholders. WACSI welcomes support from civil society actors, philanthropists, grant- making organizations, and other interested persons who want to be part of making our vision of a strong civil society in West Africa, possible.

The Institute welcomes support in the following areas:

  • Contribution of learning materials, journals, edited volumes, research publications and other educational resources for the Civil Society Resource Center;

  • Provision of technical services through volunteering to support various program units;

  • Financial donations.
